Harvest | Creta Maris 2019

Ancient Greeks considered wine as an integral part of their lives, while Wine making has always been an occasion for feasting in Crete. Yesterday the Traditional Wine Grape Harvest & Grapes Pressing Day took place in Creta Maris Beach Resort. The action was held for 7th consecutive year, in the context of the “We do local“ activities that the resort organizes as well as its participation in “TUI cares for Crete: Crete- First Steps towards a #sustainable, nutrition destination” Program.
The guests experienced the traditional #Cretan rural work by picking up the grapes from our #vineyard, transferring them in a traditional way with the donkey on the winepress for the production of grape must.
The grapes pressing process was completed and then the wine distillation and a great feast has began.
